Hmph.
My spell checker says that it doesn't recognize that word.
But I do. It's the sound I make when I am done. Today has been a great day. About 6:00 I hit a wall. Hunger had something to do with it no doubt. Kids had a successful school day and finished all their assignments. We had time for friends to come play for a little while. I even folded a load of laundry and put it away. After steaks were cooked last night Zach wanted to put on a roast while the coals were already hot and going. Great! Dinner for tonight! So it has been stewing all day. What to do with said roast? BBQ is the flavor. We don't have buns and thought several times about making some. It's not always the thought that counts. We can't eat BBQ on a thought. So I suggested maybe we could jut have it over tortilla chips with cheese and such. As my mindless brain went to shred the roast, BBQ nachos just didn't sound good. So instead we will be having boxed au grautin potatoes. My momma would be so ashamed! Well, maybe not ashamed. But I am. We will be eating a salad with it. So that'll make up for having boxed potatoes.
My husband is wonderful. While we wait potatoes rehydrate in the stove, he is feeding the baby. He is texting me sweet nothings from the couch as I write down my thoughts. Sure love that man!
Well the potatoes that I bought because they were on sale for .79 cents a box, weren't that bad. It was a yummy meal.
We ended the evening with FHE. Lesson on the Signs of the Second Coming, and apple pie wontons ended the day wonderfully.

Came across this fun little memory...

Came across this picture in the files of the computer.
Jason drew this in February of 2011 during an evidently very boring church meeting. He made very sure that he didn't leave any one of the Munns family out, or the temple.... Just love that boy!

the fine print...Gender is identified by the obvious long/short hair and/or skirt/pants. All characters in the picture don't necessarily portray their actual size or shape. Although children's size in relation to the parent's size is made very clear. Unless he remembered to add the person later and didn't have enough room to show actual size...

Long Sabbath Days...

Today has been one of those wonderful never-ending Sundays. They seem to be few and far between, so I have really enjoyed this day. The morning began by sleeping in, kind of. There is always at least one child awake by 7 AM, so there isn't sleeping in as much as quiet mornings. I had a lesson to prepare, so I showered first thing. Which is an oddity in this home. Mom is usually the last to shower. And maybe the last to be ready and keeps everyone waiting while mascara is gently applied on solid ground and NOT while riding in the truck. You know the saying, "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"? Well, I have found that although applying makeup while on the 25 minute drive to church helps us to arrive at church on time, hearing mom swear and curse as makeup is shoved into her eye because of a bump on the road, is not the best way to begin our church going experience. So, showering early today was definitely the best option for the whole family this day. I was asked to fill in teaching the sisters of the ward in Relief Society. A lot scary considering I have never taught the adults in church. Always the children for me. They aren't as scary and if all else fails with them, you can pass around treats, paper, and crayons and you are suddenly the hero! But all went well considering. I really, really enjoy the sisters of this ward. There is a wonderful welcoming spirit and sense of comradery. We are very blessed to have the gospel in our life. I love being a member of this church. In only just over a month I have already gained a new family and friend because of the gospel. It's wherever you go and I love it! There weren't too many downfalls or breakdowns during the rest of the meetings. I happily volunteered Zach to teach next week's Sunday School lesson while he was out with the babe. He is so great to jump in like that, don't you think? Briggs only broke my necklace. Nothing else. Just a string of pearls. You know how they just make a nice little pile when the fall? Well, Zach wasn't sure if he made a big enough mess, so as he was stringing the beads back on so they didn't get lost, he thought he would see what happens when they fall. Hopefully he found them all! Briggs fell asleep on the drive home...THANK YOU!! I love that boy, but man he can get cranky when he's tired. Everything is so sad. :( Zach cooked some wonderful steaks, Brianna cooked some rice pilaf (with my instruction from the living room as I was nursing Jarom), and we had corn and peas (from our garden!). It was a delightful meal. From there we started a movie (Toy Story 3-guess who picked that...Briggs, weird). We decided we needed a treat so I found a few recipes for caramel corn and chose the ingredients I liked, well...the ones I had, and set off to make some wonderful creation with Jason and Briggs. They love to be helpers! Especially when it involves sugar. We ended up with a great treat that will be fun to tamper with a little and make some fun variations! So our day ended with some of this...

Most recent Family Pics

March was just a little while ago right?....

Jarom has since joined us....
...he sure is a sweetheart!

Where has the time gone?

Well, I'll tell you.
OK. I have no clue.
Change in life is inevitable, right? We seem to have mastered change. Of course if I say that, we will probably end up with yet another change in our life. I am completely not ready for any kind of change, so I take back that said change.
As a goal to be better at journaling, I have chosen this blog to be my source. Whether this blog is read by hundreds, millions (ha!), or simply by my mother, I will be more consistent about updates.
As time moves, we as a family want to go with it and not let it simply pass us by. Progress for us is landing somewhere better than where we were the day before.
So, here I am "journaling" today. I sure didn't journal yesterday. So today, I have made progress. Watch out Time, I'm going to keep up with you from here on out!
