We are alive!

So, I have had several comments lately about my lack of posts. I apologize. For one excuse, our camera is on its deathbed, and for the other, I haven't had anything that exciting happen. But, I should enjoy the little things everyday, I suppose, and find them as exciting and wonderful as they really are. So, what have we been doing?
Zach: butchering pigs, pruning trees, working at work, shoveling poop, working at home, helping the scouts make rope, building our XanGo business, stealing his wife away for an evening ride on the horses, wishing he could do that more often, and just being the best husband and father in the world!
Jaeleen: sitting at the shop, homeschooling, serving at the Steakhouse, building our XanGo business, changing poopy diapers, serving in the Young Womens program, and Zach says, "being the best wife and mother in the world."
Brianna: School (multiplication, division, reading, writing, art, music) soccer! babysitting her brothers, playing.
Jason: soccer, pattern blocks! playing, dinosaurs, learning to read, playing games, learning to tie shoes.
Briggs: making poopy diapers, learning to live without a binky, playing with trucks and his ride on tractor, making animal sounds, learning that momma means mom and not just everyone that is an adult, learning that momma says, "No, no, no."

New Little Piggies

We have a new batch of babies! Nelly had 10, but lost one from being stepped on and two were stillborn...:(
We have one that is all black except for the front feet are pink. So cute! I will post pictures soon! These are fair worthy pigs, so if you need a fair pig or know someone that does, give us a call!

Pony Express

Brianna has been learning about the Pony Express. She read a book called Riding the Pony Express, and then has been working on a report. She has done research on the internet and found out many neat facts. She has started working on a diorama depicting a rider on the Pony Express. When she is finished I will post the final project with a video of her reporting on what she learned!

Homemade Pizza. YUM!
Gotta love homemade pizza...

Believe it or Not...

So, Zach and I have decided that Brianna is old enough and responsible enough to be left in charge of the boys. I will leave them for about 2 hours every Wednesday while I go to teach music just down the road. I wish I had a picture to show all of you what my house looked like last night when we returned from a work party and Zach's parents house at 8:45 PM...
The kitchen was spotless, dishes were done, their laundry was put away (how neatly is debatable), and they were in bed! Brianna wasn't quite asleep when I went in her room to give her loves, so I asked her how things went. She said that she almost forgot to read scriptures with Jason, but then remembered and said prayers and they finished and at 8:30 exactly (which is bed time). What an amazing girl we have! I don't think we are quite ready to leave them for a weekend get away, but I think in a year or so, we might be able to sneak off to the movies...

Gardner Village!

My best friend Heather and I love to take mini excursions to Salt Lake to visit Gardner Village. It is a such a fun place. All the stores are in little cottages. There is everything from craft boutiques to a spa (which one of these times we will schedule a pedicure!), to a fabulous restaurant, to a candy store, to a quilt shop. Some of our favorites are Pine Needles (a needlepoint store), The Big Quilt Store (not really the name, but it's the really big one), and our new fav- the Wild about the West Store! We had a trip this last fall, right before Witches Night Out- come dressed as your best witch self- and we loved it! We seem to be there when all the madness happens around this event! This trip may have been the best yet. That may have something to do with the fact that we were kidless...maybe. We ran into a friend from church that had since moved to the other side of our little valley. Of course it was at the Wild West Store. Fitting, as we all have an affinity for the western lifestyle! She took a picture and sent it our way! Thanks Monica! Notice how we often dress similar...
The couch in the background on the left is my couch! Just have to save about 2 Grand!

Manti Anniversary Trip

The weekend of our 3rd anniversary we headed down to our favorite little getaway, The Manti House Inn! It is a sweet little bed and breakfast right across the street from the temple. They have a great little restaurant called the Carriage House. We LOVE their cream cheese and crab wontons! We have even taken the long way to get home from AZ just to get an order! We have stayed in several different rooms. This last one may be our favorite though. It was the Heber J. Grant Room. It sits on the corner of the building, so you have views of that cute little town in two different directions. The tub is really long...about 9 feet! It was very enjoyable to stay in and relax and watch movies. We are good at that. We did decide to venture out a little farther than just going across the street to the temple. This trip we headed up Manti Canyon. (But not before heading into town and getting some homemade candy! Yum!!) Zach had been up there the month before hunting. So, we went to where they had camped, right at the top of the canyon. You could see for MILES!
It was pretty windy, but still beautiful and clear. We mad a miniature camp with the truck parked opposite the wind so we could make a fire. We roasted some polish sausages and had chips and homemade salsa. It was nice to be away from the world and on top of it for a little while. We love to talk to each other. It still amazes me how much was can talk and still not get it all out. There is always a new conversation. We realized how blessed we truly are, as we do everyday, and are so thankful to the Lord and his tender mercies! On the way down we stopped an walked a few hundred yards to Milky Falls. It was very pretty and quiet, minus the sound of running water! What a great trip we had!

Brianna is 8!!

Brianna was baptized on January 2, 2010. I had the chance? opportunity? to speak at the stake baptism. All went well. She was baptized by her dad, Richard Wheatley. She was confirmed by her dad, Zach. There were many there in attendance to show support; Grandma & Grandpa, Breton & Jaime and kids, Quentin & Jessica and kids, Shandi & Eric and baby(can't leave without that one), MacKenzie & Greg, Bishop Nicholas, Sister Summers, Sister McGuire, Phillip Holcer, Susan Chidester & Katie Morse, Leisel & Leon and Lissee, Brielle, and Bryce Nichols, Aunt Jeannette, Sonny & Shea Jensen and kids, Kaden & Katie and kids, Dee & Kari, Shayell & Andy, Dixon, Buster and Dillon and Garrison, Grandma & Grandpa Marble, Shane & Heather Strong and kids, Grandma & Grandpa Wheatley. Wow! What a crew! Brianna has so many people that care for and love her!
Of course, we are Munns and we eat. We all went to the Pie Dump afterward and enjoyed a wonderful brunch of crepes with fresh fruit and breakfast meats and juice. Thanks to Breton, Shandi, Kenz, and Jessica for cooking crepes. And everyone else that helped prepare and clean up. It was a wonderfully perfect day. I am so ever grateful for the gospel in our lives and the guidance and peace that it gives. Brianna has started down the right path and she is so lucky to have so many people to help her along the way. Love you Brianna!
