New Family Photos

I know Mom, I still need to send one to you... Soon, I promise!

Ketchup at the Pie Dump

I love KETCHUP! Briggs, at the ripe ol' age of 13 months, has discovered ketchup. He was loving it until he rubbed it in his eyes. OUCH! But, you can see how happy it makes him when it is not in his eyes!

Trains and Rockets

This last summer Mom and Dad Payne came for a visit for a few days. We decided to take a day trip and visit Promontory Point and the rocket display at ATK/Thiokol. We got to Promontory (where the two continental railroads met) just as they were pulling the two trains in to their houses. We watched in awe as these two steam engines rolled passed. What power! On the way back we stopped at the rocket display and looked around. What power those have, too. It is amazing that the displays were only portions of the full rockets even though they were HUGE! Fun times!!!

Big Helpers!

I have such great kids! How many kids seperate their laundry for their mother? And~they just do it. No bribes involved. Really! I really am very blessed to have such great kids!

Our Pet Deer

Zach woke me early one morning to "come check this out". Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, I looked outside in the new shed and didn't see anything. It took a minute or two for my eyes to adjust. Once they did, I was definitely awake!~
We were able to pet him and even touch his spikes (very velvety). It wasn't until Zach lifted him up that he finally ran away. It was a fun 5 minutes!

Scribbles is just growing. He is now 2 months old!

Brianna and Briggs watching the work being done on the shed.

YEA! We have started building our new shed! The truck shoots the gravel about 40 or 50 feet! It was really fun to watch.

Mommy's Little Helper
Briggs does not like to be left out! He is loving that he can get where he wants to and gets to be right in the middle of EVERYTHING!

My Baby had a baby

Angel was last checked at 11:30 PM Thursday Night. She was up and moving around, but her milk was starting to drip. I knew she would be having that baby soon. I set my alarm for 3:25 AM. When I first got out of bed, I just peeked out the door to see if I could see Angel. No sense in getting dressed if I didn't have to, right? I couldn't see her, so I quickly ran to the bathroom, threw on Zach's pajama pants (I didn't want to turn on the light) and a hoodie and headed out side. By the time I reached the driveway (right next to the pasture), I saw her lie down and then I heard a break and gush! I sprinted back inside, mind you, with Zach's clogs on, as fast as I could. All Zach remembers is that I said, "She laid down and I heard a gush!" I was back ouside in about two seconds, just in time to see two little feet coming out! Angel did good until a shoulder got stuck a little. Zach gave a little tug and out she came within a couple more pushes! She was perfect! Right away I texted Heather. She was over in about 10 minutes! By that time our little philly was up and wobbling around! By the morning, meaning 9 AM, she is moving great! Her color is beautiful. She has taken a little from both mom and dad, as her dad is black and white and momma is palomino. We worked on imprinting her and letting her and mom get used to us. She is just perfect!

Welcome Scribbles!

Baby piggies

Our new babies arrived! We missed it. Zach was at Priesthood Meeting and I was at work. Momma Nelly did great. There were 9 born, but we lost one a few days later due to injuries from being stepped on. We tried to keep the little guy going, but he just was hurt too bad. But we have 8 bouncing babies that are so fun to watch.

Saying HI to Quincy

Jason, the mouse hunter

Jason's catch! See, there are mice at the shop!

Home School in 3D

We were off to the movies to kick-off our ocean unit in school. We saw the Under Sea 3D movie in Salt Lake at the Clark Planetarium. What a fun trip!

So, this is what a horse bite looks like. We aren't sure what exactly happened. Brianna was out doing her jobs with Jason one night. Jason runs in and says that Spook bit her. Of course I am thinking that it was going to be blown way out of proportion. Well, she got it good! She was a tough little girl. This bruise hung around for about a month!
